Have You Ever Lost the Key to Your Master Lock and Had No Way of Getting Into It?
IF SO, YOU’RE NOT ALONE. FORTUNATELY, THERE’S A WAY TO OPEN YOUR MASTER LOCK WITHOUT THE KEY – BY DRILLING IT OUT.
Drilling out a Master Lock is relatively simple and straightforward, but before you begin, make sure you have the right tools for the job.
You’ll need a drill with a bit that’s the same size or slightly larger than the diameter of the keyhole. You’ll also need a Phillips screwdriver, a pair of pliers, and a pair of safety glasses.
To begin, use the Phillips screwdriver to unscrew the screws that hold the lock in place.
Once the screws are removed, you’ll be able to see inside the lock. Using the drill, carefully drill out the center of the keyhole. Be careful not to over-drill and accidentally damage the inner workings of the lock.
Once the center of the keyhole has been drilled out, use the pliers to pull out the cylinder that holds the pins.
The pins are what keep the lock from opening without a key. Once the cylinder has been removed, you’ll be able to open the lock.
Drilling out a Master Lock is a great way to get into your lock if you’ve lost the key and don’t have a replacement.
It’s a relatively simple process that doesn’t require any special tools or skills. Just make sure you have the right tools and follow the steps above carefully, and you’ll be able to open your lock without any issues.
