Fit and Install
Do you make a rack for backpack blowers?
Yes. The Xtreme Pro Backpack Blower Rack (BPS100) comes in three fitments: Standard (fits most gas blowers), XL Bar (RedMax EBZ7500-EBZ9000, Husqvarna 580-590 and most battery blowers) and Echo 7910T / 8010T / 9010T / 9510H with the kickplate kit. The securing bars for your fitment are in the box with the universal open/enclosed trailer hardware kit. It weighs 39.0 lb.
What does installation involve?
Open trailer: drill and bolt the locking side of the rack over a support on your trailer rail, then drill and bolt the support side, suggested spacing 36 3/4 inches center to center, then mount your trimmers. Enclosed trailer: attach the 90 degree brackets, screw the locking side into the wall frame, measure 36 3/4 inches to the support side, bolt both sides to the brackets, then mount your trimmers. You also bolt the supplied aluminum blocks onto each trimmer shaft. Each product page has the install instructions, an interactive 3D assembly manual and install videos.
Can I mount the 4-place rack on an open trailer?
The install sheet says 4-position racks are not intended to sit on top of open-trailer rails. Use the Advanced Open Trailer Mounting method on the sheet (brackets to the lower trailer rail and top rail), and note that bolting a 4-position rack to the top rail voids the warranty. The 4-place rack is 51 inches tall.
Can I weld the rack to my trailer?
No. Welding voids the warranty. If you ever do weld, the install sheet says the paint must first be ground off the base plate, and never weld on the locking tube because it will damage the locking system.
What is the difference between Classic and Xtreme Pro racks?
Xtreme Pro racks use the Armored-Lock system and include engine support kits. Classic racks (LA011 2-place open trailer, LB012 3-place open trailer, LE015 3-place enclosed trailer) use pins and lanyards with vinyl-coated hooks and do not include engine supports. The Engine Support Kit is made for Xtreme Pro V2 and V3 racks and cannot be retrofitted to a Classic rack. LA011 and LB012 come with padlocks and keys; LE015 comes with no lock (a CA075 padlock is recommended).
Locks and Keys
How does the lock work?
One padlock secures every trimmer in an Xtreme Pro rack. Our Armored-Lock design encases the padlock in a heavy-duty steel shield built to deter bolt cutters and prying tools.
How do I lock and unlock the rack?
Unlock the padlock, turn the handle on top a quarter turn to the left, press the thumb lever and lift each trimmer out. To lock, reverse the steps. The padlock slides in to keep the handle from rotating.
Which racks come with a padlock?
A padlock is included with the Xtreme Pro 2-place (XA102), 3-place (XB103) and 4-place (XC104) trimmer racks, the Xtreme Pro Backpack Blower Rack (BPS100) and the Xtreme Pro fuel can security cages (FCL100 and FCS200). The XA102 includes a keyed padlock. Classic racks LA011 (2-place) and LB012 (3-place) come with padlocks and keys. The Classic enclosed-trailer rack LE015 comes with no lock; we recommend adding a CA075 padlock.
What padlock do I need?
Our CA075 keyed padlock is made for Green Touch racks, with a solid steel body, a corrosion-resistant finish, and a shackle sized to fit within our hasps. It is $11.99. A CA073 combination lock with a user-resettable three-digit code is also offered, and it needs weekly lubrication, which is not covered by warranty. To replace the padlock in an Xtreme Pro rack, the install sheet calls for a #3 master padlock (40 mm body, 3/4 inch shackle).
How many keys come with the CA075 keyed padlock?
Each CA075 keyed padlock comes with 4 keys.
Rails and Brackets
What size are the truck bed rail kits?
The AA101 is a single-side rail system for pickup beds. It includes two 49-inch rail segments in 2-1/4-inch square tubing, a connector, and a hardware kit for stake pocket installation. Order two to outfit both sides of the bed. It installs in your existing stake pockets, so you do not have to drill into the bed.
What size are the UTV bed rail systems?
For the John Deere Gator, choose the RA101 for metal beds (39.5-inch rails) or the RBP204 for plastic beds (44-inch rails). The Club Car Carryall 2 set has 47-inch rails and a 53-1/2-inch midsection. The Lowe's AXIS 500 set has 40-inch rails and a 48-3/4-inch midsection. Racks and the required EE082 mounting brackets are sold separately.
Can I mount a rack on a round trailer rail?
Yes. The RTB100 round tube mounting bracket fits 1.5 to 2 inch round rails and uses a bolt-through design with a Grade-8 hardware kit. Trimmer racks need two RTB100 brackets, one for each side. Other racks, such as blower and sprayer racks, need one.
Will my backpack blower fit the Classic blower rack?
To ensure a secure fit, some blower models may require a simple 3/8-inch modification to the plastic housing. Call us at +1 (561) 659-5525 with your blower model for guidance.
Engine Supports
Are engine supports included?
Yes on Xtreme Pro racks. Each position has an integrated Engine Support Kit in the box: two with the 2-place, three with the 3-place, four with the 4-place. Classic racks (LA011, LB012, LE015) do not include engine supports.
Why do I need engine supports?
They hold the engine head still so the trimmer cannot bounce or rotate on the road. That motion causes cracked starter housings, cracked engine housings and fuel leaks. Instructions are in the Engine Support Kit PDF and assembly video on the product page.
Can I add an Engine Support Kit to a Classic rack?
No. The Engine Support Kit fits Xtreme Pro V2 and V3 racks only. It is not for Classic racks and cannot be retrofitted to them.
