Choosing Your Assembly
Open trailer: the base plate bolts down through your top rail. Enclosed trailer: the CX117 pieces stand the support off the wall, and the brackets fasten into studs or structural framing — a wood wall needs a minimum of 1/2" plywood substrate. Buy the assembly that matches your trailer; the Open-Trailer kit will not mount to an enclosed wall.
