The spring is a critical wearable component of the quick-release locking mechanism. Occasional replacement ensures the handle remains snappy and your equipment stays secure. Don't let a worn-out spring compromise the security and efficiency of your setup.
Preventative Maintenance: When to Replace
For a full-time crew, we recommend replacing the Trimmer Rack spring (SPR002) once per season as part of your regular maintenance. The Blower Rack spring (SPR001) lasts longer but should be inspected periodically. Replace either spring if the handle feels loose or doesn't lock back with a firm, crisp action.
Simple DIY Installation
You can easily replace the spring in minutes with a standard Allen wrench. Simply remove the handle's Allen screw, lift the handle off, connect the new spring to the stationary sleeve and the handle itself, then slide the handle back on and secure the screw. Your rack is now refreshed and ready for work!
